Steve Backley OBE is a British athlete best known for his outstanding success in javelin. He won three Olympic medals across Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000, making him one of Team GB’s most consistent performers on the world stage. He was also a former world record holder, a four-time European Champion and a Commonwealth Champion.
Steve’s career was built on more than power and technical ability. His success came from preparation, consistency and the mindset needed to deliver when expectations were high.
