Lutalo Muhammad is a British taekwondo athlete best known for his success on the Olympic stage. He won bronze at London 2012, then silver at Rio 2016, becoming a double Olympic medallist for Team GB. He has also won European and Commonwealth titles during a career built on discipline, technical skill and elite performance.
Raised in Walthamstow, just a few miles from the London 2012 Olympic stadium, Lutalo began taekwondo at the age of three with his father Wayne. His journey from a young athlete in east London to an Olympic medallist shows what can happen when talent is matched with structure, support and long-term commitment.
Lutalo’s career also reflects the importance of resilience when the outcome is uncertain. His Rio 2016 final was decided in the final moments, yet his response showed the character of an athlete able to face disappointment, keep perspective and continue to inspire others through the way he carries himself.
We are proud to have Lutalo as part of our ambassador community. His achievements as a double Olympic medallist and European Champion reflect years of focused preparation, technical discipline and composure under pressure. His response to both success and setback shows the character, perspective and commitment needed to perform when the margins are small.
