One of the standout moments of the year took place on 28 October 2025, when Active Digital proudly launched its new AI-focused business division, Active Digital AI, at an inspiring event held at Bedford Autodrome. The day began with a warm welcome from Business Director Jo, who highlighted the company’s continued commitment to customer-focused innovation and strategic digital solutions. This set the tone for a forward-looking event centred on collaboration and progress.
The launch continued with a joint presentation from CEO Richard and Ant Morse of Adventa, who shared the vision behind their partnership. Their discussion reinforced the importance of collaboration between industry specialists and how combining expertise can help businesses successfully navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape. A further highlight came from Chris, a valued member of the digital team, who delivered an insightful presentation on the key considerations businesses should address when digitalising their infrastructure. Together, the sessions reflected Active Digital’s mission to empower clients and deliver meaningful impact through technology.
Beyond innovation, connection has remained a key theme. Following the success of networking events in October and November, Active Digital is set to host its first Connect over Coffee Business Networking Event of 2026 in January. Each session explores a different topic, and this upcoming event will focus on wellness. The occasion will also celebrate the launch of JJ Double Gold, a new wellness brand dedicated to transparent, trustworthy, and natural products, backed by real expertise and real stories. It promises to be an inspiring opportunity to connect, reflect, and look ahead.
2025 has also been a year of major recognition. Active Digital was honoured at the Tunbridge Wells Business Magazine Awards 2025, taking home two prestigious titles: SME of the Year and Best Overall Business of 2025. Being shortlisted alongside outstanding local businesses and winning both awards is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and excellence demonstrated by the team, as well as the continued support of clients and the wider community.

In the wider digital landscape, connectivity remains a major focus. Virgin Media O2’s announcement of its partnership with Starlink to launch “O2 Satellite” marks a bold step forward for UK mobile coverage. Rolling out from the first half of 2026, the service aims to extend messaging and data access to areas where traditional coverage is limited or unavailable, with voice services expected later. This initiative represents a significant move toward inclusive connectivity and is welcome news for those living, working, or travelling in remote locations. iPhone 14 and later models will be compatible with satellite features for emergency services and messaging.
On a personal level, the Active Digital team has also been celebrating individual achievements. In October, Mel Watson completed the Bedgebury Half Marathon, a challenging race set among the rolling hills and woodland trails of Bedgebury National Pinetum. The demanding course tested resilience and focus, and Mel’s achievement stands as a powerful reminder of determination and teamwork. The team is now looking ahead to the Headcorn Half Marathon on 15 February 2026.
Meanwhile, 2025 has seen major progress in UK digital infrastructure, with full-fibre broadband coverage now reaching almost 80 percent of premises. Despite this, many businesses still rely on legacy connections. Upgrading to full-fibre can unlock faster speeds, greater reliability, and improved productivity, helping organisations future-proof themselves in a digital-first economy. With demand for bandwidth continuing to grow, now is an ideal time for businesses to make the switch.
Finally, the festive season has brought some cheer with Active Digital’s 12 Days of Christmas promotion. Customers can enjoy 12 percent off any pre-loved mobile device until 19 December 2025. As the year comes to a close, Active Digital looks ahead with optimism, celebrating achievements while continuing to focus on innovation, growth, and community. Here’s to a successful and exciting year ahead.
