On Wednesday 11th February 2026, Sevenoaks Chamber of Commerce and Active Digital proudly came together to host a collaborative business networking event at the prestigious London Golf Club, near Brands Hatch. With its stunning surroundings and welcoming atmosphere, the venue provided the perfect setting for a morning of connection, conversation, and community spirit.

The event welcomed a wonderful turnout of guests, the majority of whom were existing members of Sevenoaks Chamber of Commerce. It was fantastic to see such strong representation from the local business community, with attendees ranging across multiple industries and sectors. Familiar faces and new connections filled the room, highlighting just how vibrant and supportive the Sevenoaks business network continues to be. Among those in attendance were well-known chamber members such as NFU Mutual and Thackray Williams, both of whom contributed to the buzzing atmosphere.

Guests were greeted with a warm welcome from Sevenoaks Chamber of Commerce, setting the tone for an event focused on collaboration and shared opportunity. From the outset, there was a genuine sense of positivity in the room, with businesses keen to catch up, exchange ideas, and explore new partnerships. Following the chamber’s introduction, the event moved into a relaxed and informal talk delivered by the brother and sister duo behind Active Digital, Jo and Richard. Their presentation struck the perfect balance between informative and entertaining, with a jolly and approachable style that instantly engaged the audience. Rather than a formal lecture, their talk felt like a conversation, one filled with personality, and relatable insights from their experience of working in a tech driven world.

Jo and Richard spoke passionately about the importance of change, agility, collaboration, building strong relationships, and supporting local business growth. Their energy and down-to-earth delivery resonated strongly with attendees, and it was clear that their enthusiasm for what they do is a big part of why Active Digital has become so well respected.

A real highlight of the day was the presence of Steve Backley OBE, Olympic athlete and one of Britain’s most recognised sporting figures. Steve joined the event in support of Jo and Richard and added a special touch to an already memorable morning. As a company ambassador for Active Digital for over twenty years, Steve has played an important role in championing the business and its journey, and it was a pleasure to have him attend.

Steve took the opportunity to say a few words to guests, sharing his support and offering his own warm perspective on building business performance. His presence was greatly appreciated by everyone in the room, and many attendees enjoyed the chance to chat with him throughout the event. Steve took time to mingle with guests and engage in conversations, bringing an added sense of prestige to the occasion at the London Golf Club.
