At Active Digital, giving back to our community is deeply woven into our culture and values. On Thursday, 9th May 2025, we were proud to host our annual Charity Golf Day at the stunning Dale Hill Golf Club, raising funds in support of the incredible work done by Heart of Kent Hospice.

With picture-perfect fairways, clear blue skies, and a crowd full of energy and generosity, the day proved to be far more than just a game of golf—it was a memorable coming together of customers, partners, friends, and team members, all rallying around a cause that truly matters.

Supporting a Cause Close to Our Hearts

Heart of Kent Hospice has been a beacon of care and compassion in our community for over 30 years. Providing specialist palliative care to patients and support to their families, the hospice does remarkable work underpinned by donations and fundraising events like ours.

As a local organisation ourselves, we recognise the importance of standing alongside charities that make a meaningful difference. Organising this charity golf day was our way of showing appreciation for the incredible care the Hospice delivers every day, and to raise essential funds to help them continue their mission.

A Charity Golf Day at Dale Hill Golf Club

The prestigious Dale Hill Golf Club in East Sussex provided the perfect backdrop for our charity event. Nestled in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the club’s rolling greens and impeccable facilities added a special touch to the occasion.

We welcomed guests from early morning with a breakfast before teeing off for an 18-hole round on the Ian Woosnam-designed course. Teams were made up of customers, partners, suppliers, and our own Active Digital colleagues, creating a vibrant mix of camaraderie and friendly competition.

There were prizes up for grabs across various categories, including “Longest Drive,” “Nearest the Pin,” and the coveted “Winning Team”. But most importantly, every swing, putt and cheer echoed a shared purpose: supporting the Hospice.

The Power of Generosity: Raffle and Auction Highlights

After a fulfilling day on the course, guests gathered in the clubhouse for dinner, drinks, and the much-anticipated charity raffle and auction.

We were truly overwhelmed by the generosity, at our charity golf day from our customers and supporters who donated an array of prizes—from luxury hampers donated by Funky Hampers and P1 Lego from Harwoods to bottles of Silverhand Brut from MDCV Winnery and golf memorabilia. Thanks to these contributions, our raffle was bursting with excitement and surprises. Not forgetting VVS, who sponsored the prize for the winners of the day!

The live auction featured several standout items that sparked bidding wars, including golf experiences and a voucher and clothing bundle from Crew Clothing. The room buzzed with energy as people opened their hearts (and wallets) to bid in support of Heart of Kent Hospice.

All proceeds from the raffle and auction went directly to the charity, helping fund nursing care, counselling, and specialist services that touch the lives of so many.

A Celebration of Community

What made this day truly special wasn’t just the fundraising total, it was the people. We were honoured to welcome a diverse group of attendees who all share a commitment to making a positive impact.

From long-time clients and business leaders to new connections and old friends, the event created space for meaningful conversations, new partnerships, and laughter along the way. We’re especially grateful to those who travelled to attend, contributed donations, or simply showed up to support the cause.
