Our Brand Ambassador, Jade Jones OBE secures her first Boxing Victory
On 7th March 2026, our brand ambassador Jade Jones made a statement that echoed far beyond the ring, announcing her arrival in professional boxing with a breathtaking second-round knockout victory. Already a household name as a two-time Olympic gold medallist, Jade stepped into the boxing world with determination, courage, and a point to prove. Competing at a Misfits Boxing event in Derby, she faced American opponent Egypt Criss in what would become one of the most talked-about debuts of the year.
From the opening bell, Jade showcased the elite athleticism and fighting instinct that made her an Olympic champion. Calm, composed, and clinical, she quickly took control of the fight, demonstrating sharp movement, precision striking, and total confidence in her new discipline.
Then came the moment. In the second round, Jade unleashed a devastating sequence of left-hand punches that ended the fight in emphatic fashion. A perfectly timed combination sent her opponent to the canvas, securing a knockout victory that commentators and fans were quick to label a potential “knockout of the year.”
For Jade, this fight marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter. After a legendary taekwondo career that saw her win Olympic gold at London 2012 and Rio 2016, she made the bold decision to step into an entirely new sport. Transitioning from kicking to punching is no small feat, but Jade has embraced the challenge with the same relentless mindset that has defined her career.

Following the fight, Jade dedicated her victory to her late grandad, someone she credits as a major influence in her life and career. It was a reminder that behind the elite athlete is a deeply grounded individual driven by purpose, passion, and personal motivation.
Those who watched the fight, might have also noticed the new branding of JJ Double Gold on her black and gold shorts. JJ Double Gold is a new joint venture between Jade Jones MBE and Richard Groves, CEO of Active Digital. After partnering with Jade for many years, Richard and Jade have come together to create a wellness company. Their collaboration started with a walk around Flint North Wales, which sparked a deep chat about mental health and discussed Richard’s health issues with his back. This became just the start of their joint passion for health and wellbeing. The company now has a range of natural products and continue to add more products to their website.
