Active Digital Charity Partnership

We are pleased to announce that we have renewed our ongoing charity partnership with The Mintridge Foundation for 2025. We are proud to be working with The Mintridge Foundation as our charitable partners and have committed to sponsoring a mentoring programme in every community that we are active in. In a world of ever-increasing social media presence and sedentary lifestyles, a mental health epidemic and the long-reaching impact of Covid – 19, Young people need the Mintridge Foundation more than ever. This partnership not only focuses on the physical benefits of sport but also promotes mental well-being, resilience and self-confidence among young people, helping them to navigate the challenges of modern life.

The Mintridge Foundation harnesses the unique platform of sporting role models. Their team of Ambassadors – Olympians, Paralympians, and other professional sports stars from over 20 sports, both team and individual deliver holistic sports provision in schools, clubs and colleges across the UK for young people from all walks of life, of all abilities and physical capabilities. These role models do not just inspire through their achievements, but they also connect on a personal level with the young people they meet, sharing their own journeys, struggles, and triumphs. Their company patrons, Clare Balding & Alice Arnold are helping to bridge the gap between sports stars and youth, and in turn raise aspirations. Clare and Alice have spent time with the Mintridge Foundation Ambassadors from across the UK to help shape their stories and deliver the greatest impact possible, and together, they will help grow the charity and take it to new heights. “We are big believers in the power of sport, and everyone being included – sport in schools should be delivered in a much more holistic way and through Mintridge this is possible.” — Clare Balding CBE & Alice Arnold, Mintridge Foundation Patrons. This holistic approach involves not only physical activity but also workshops on teamwork, leadership, and personal development.

Adding to this, Alex Wallace, founder of The Mintridge Foundation and Sunday Times Grassroots Sports Woman of the Year in 2018 said: “Sport has the power to change lives, and we believe that every young person should have the opportunity to experience the benefits of physical activity, so we are delighted to relaunch our partnership with Active Digital in 2025 to help us inspire and motivate young people across the country.” This vision aligns with Active Digital’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, reinforcing the idea that every young person deserves access to sports, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop both physically and mentally.

Jo’s Comments on the Charity Partnership

Jo Wimble, Business Director at Active Digital, commented:We are delighted to be continuing our charity partnership with The Mintridge Foundation. Active Digital has long had a close connection to sport, through the variety of clients that we service in our telecoms sector. We see and recognise the importance of role models in sport for young people. This cements our commitment to support their projects and campaigns. Working alongside Mintridge and seeing the great work that they do is why we have chosen The Mintridge Foundation to be our charity partner of the year.”

Jo and the Active Digital Team’s Commitment: The dedication to this charity partnership goes beyond mere sponsorship; the Active Digital team actively participates in various events and initiatives throughout the year. We engage employees in volunteering opportunities with The Mintridge Foundation, enabling them to connect with young people and share their insights, experiences, and encouragement. This hands-on involvement fosters a sense of community and empowers our staff to advocate for the positive impact of sports in youth lives.
