Active News Bites – Business Security

Security for your business…

Have you considered device management so you are GDPR compliant for mobile?
According to a recent report, over 25% of UK businesses faced increased security threats during the pandemic, so it’s definitely something to be taken seriously.

Security of your handsets, iPads and computers is something that we are getting asked about almost daily. We have a host of products which can support your business devices, keeping you secure and giving peace of mind that your information is safe.

If you are running company mobiles, you really need to have a management policy in place, so in the event a device needed to be wiped or removed from the company profile, you have full control to do that. Equally, you can use the service to push apps to devices without needing to physically have the device with you. It makes supporting company devices really easy and manageable, and most importantly compliant. Ultimately, it does tick a box so you don’t have to worry.

We can help you get started and we’re currently offering 6 month free trial of the service for a limited time only and it’s just £2.05 a user.

IBM MaaS360 is a state-of-the-art mobile device management platform allowing businesses to take control of their mobile fleet. Recent studies show that 39% of people have downloaded malware onto a phone or tablet. And around 10 million mobile devices are lost or stolen in the UK each year. IBM MaaS360 is the perfect solution for keeping corporate data and devices secure using policies, and remote functionality.

McAfee Multi Access protects you against viruses, spam, malware and identity theft making sure your documents and customer data are safe. And it covers all types of devices, so not only is your PC safe but so is your smartphone, tablet and iPad.

The Malling School – Charity Donation

Helping the community is something we love to do as a business and this month we have donated some essential items to The Malling School:

This month the team despatched
– 10 reversible mood octopus’s
– 150 disposable masks
– 130 fabric reusable maks
– 25 plastic shields

It brings so much joy to the team when we are able to help support schools and communities.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to Mobile Street who matched our donation to the School.

Samantha from The Malling School said:
“Thank you very much for your kind donation of fiddle toys, ear phones and masks. These will be great for our students with

Anxiety, autism, ADHD and communication difficulties. The ear phones will allow the students to complete screeners for dyslexia and access arrangements in exams.”

Active Get Active

During the lockdown the wellness of each staff member has been so important and we have all be a part of the Active Gets Active programme.

If you follow us on social media you will have seen lots of posts about our daily walks, exercising and healthy lunches.

We feel so privileged to work with Simon Reynolds of Formula To Perform, the team are enjoying sharing their walks and what they have made for their lunch, including a few home made cakes too!

As a company we are a really social bunch and have desperately missed the interaction with everyone, the general buzz of the office environment and meeting with our customers. We are a communications company after all! So having this bit of fun interaction has been really successful and brings a lot of joy to everyone.

We are now really looking forward to the rules easing and hopefully with some good weather to start face to face meetings with our customers once again, maybe a walk and talk.
Simon has taught us about Forest Bathing – being surrounded by nature and soaking up the goodness of our surroundings.

Keep an eye on your emails for a short survey, we are looking for as many people to partake in and it will be all about company and staff wellbeing.
